When To Use Reports?
There are situations where there are more efficient ways of doing some tasks that don't involve reports (using Director's Station for some stats, other ways of printing labels, etc.)
Alternatives to reports can include, depending on the case: searching, Director's station, and doing something manually rather than automatically with a reports (i.e. claims, edits etc.)
When to use reports:
- When you want to produce a document of your results.
- When you want to "set and forget" something to come to you as a list and a reminder to act on it every day, week, or month.
- When a report works.
When to search:
- When you want to work on items as you go through them on your list.
- When searching works.
When to do something manually rather than automatically with a report:
- When you need to exercise subjective judgement a lot in deciding what to do.
- When the report criteria available don't do what you need.
