Huntsvile Macro
These macros, originally from Huntsville Public Library, takes the finished report (print spine labels or print labels for specific id's) file and turns it into labels that fit the Gaylord LSL04 label sheets.
You need to use to use a few files to run the macro to create labels from Sirsi to
label sheets. The Normal.dot file contains the macros for creating the labels. The other files need to go into a folder called Labels under the Templates folder in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\ .
In order to run these, you need to make the Normal.dot your default template. (usually under C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Microsoft in modern versions of Windows), then run one of the label report (Print Spine Labels, Labels for Specific IDs), then view the Finished Report in Word. (When Word detects a file called output.txt (which is what finished reports are by default) it starts up the macro).
A pop-up arrives asking you what to do. You choose spine/pocket labels. (one thing that's tricky about this is that the macros refer to "Pocket labels" when they mean spine+pocket labels both. In word they show up on the same "label" but the way it prints they go into the right labels on the sheets. These files here have been altered by me and contain some stuff that might not be suitable to your situation.
This also gives you the option for order cards.
Note: For these macros to work also need to configure Windows to show full file names by going into Explorer (My Computer) and going to Tools, Folder Options. Go to the View Tab, then go down and UN-check "Hide Extensions For Known File Types" and hit OK. If this tweak isn't acceptable for other reasons, the macro can be rewritten to work without it.
Disclaimer: Please examine and test these files before using them. They will probably need editing to work properly in your situation.
For more info, look at the Read Me file that originally was distributed with these files.
This system is pretty good for printing large bunches of labels..

(Note-These are set to take the library names ALBY,ALBY-CENT, and ALBY-ROCK and replace them with the date. You may want to edit the macro to do this for your library name instead.
Also, the proper left margin varies depending on what printer you use. You may need to adjust that in pocketlabels.dot to get the proper result in your situation.)
