Editing Items with Reports

WYLD has some "custom" reports to make edits on items. These need to be used carefully, but they can be very powerful and useful.

The Edit Collection report

Edit Collection allows you to use criteria to change item-level information of items:

• Item type
• Location
• Item Cat1
• Item Cat2

It only edits items for the library you're logged in as when running the report. So, if you want to do edits for a branch, you have to log in as that branch and then run the report for that branch.

Uses and examples:

• Edit items from NEW item type to BOOK after their time has passed
• Edit ItemCat1 to NONFICTION for items with UNKNOWN ItemCat1 and NONFICTION or JUV_NONFIC home location.
